I have been waiting for these little angels for about 6 months. These alpaca knit hats are knitted by women in Bolivia, high up in the mountains, whom most have been left by their husbands to feed their children and themselves, they knit the hats to create an income, often it is the only thing between them and extreme/dire poverty! These hats are knitted with lots of experience, these women use alpaca fiber for warmth, they live in very cold, inclement weather high in the Andes, so they do a lot of knit hats. I have to say these are my most favorite item on this page! These little hats should be an heirloom, they are top quality and soft, bright striped colors. Castle Ranch Alpacas deals with fair market trade goods with the Federation of Fair market trades so that when I resell, I am assured that our ranch and you the customer are helping a poverty stricken person/family, we STRONGLY believe in this cause.
