This young lady took second place at AlpacaMania in Medford Oregon 2008. She has a rich black color with tipping of reddish brown. She is a true black just like her mother whom at 16 years is still a true black! Rosie Cheeks moms fiber still makes a stunningly soft and shiny yarn, we have samples and you are more then welcome to inquire at the mill that processes our fiber into yarn. Mette says that she has a very consistent fiber and that is why at her age you can still wear her fiber against your skin comfortably, Rosie cheeks has that consistency.
Dam has never been shown, she is my favorite, her gentle demeanour is amazing, she is THE one dam that everyone needs, delivers without assistance, abundant milk (have to watch her and other crias, somehow she ends up feeding half the cria crop. Her fiber isj consistent and very shiny.
Sire is Snowbelt Hotscot, this Macho is amazing, he is a rich coffee brown, his owners at Silver Rose alpaca ranch in Oregon have collected a houseful of ribbons with championships and Get of Sire awards he is in much demand.
So now you know what is in the past, now you need to know about the future, Rosie Cheeks, is stunning! She is a rich shiny black and extremely consistent, she has a head that is perfection, bite that is spot on (teeth haven't dropped yet) she is halter trained.
We will be showing her again at AlpacaMania in Oregon in 2009, we expect her to take another ribbon, her fiber has improved a little since she was sheared and has matured, so, if you want a history of winners and easy dams this is the girl for you!
